Park is located near Munsan Station, where
the "the UN war correspondents'
center" was situated during the Armistice
talks. The Memorial Monument for Korean War Correspondents stands
in recognition of 18 domestic and foreign journalists who died while
reporting the tragedy of the Korean war to the world. They include
Han, Kyu-Ho of Seoul News Paper, 10 reporters from America,
two from France, four from England and one from the Philippines.
In addition, there is a monument to Colonel Lee, Yu-Jung
and Second Lieutenant Kim, Man-Gul, who died a heroic death
during the war.
